Collect as much treasure as you can to please the gods and gain a double jump, glide jump, extended slide, damage protection, and more! Unlockable Whips Unlock new whips with success and choose from your collection before venturing into your next run. Each whips carries a minor blessing but also a curse that may complicate your attempt at riches and glory. Three modes Complete a series of progressively more challenging temples in Adventure mode, compete for the best time in Daily mode, and undergo the ultimate challenge in Abyss mode. Permanent Upgrades Scour every nook and cranny to uncover rare keys and unlock your full potential. More health, more speed, more power.
Say hello to the most limited movement option in the game. A high-jump sounds good on paper, but in most situations, your whip (especially with Long Whip or Double Jump) will get you as high as you need to be.

There are three modes to play. Adventure allows players to find relics and earn reputation points. Classic mode is a rogue-like one where temples become increasingly difficult as you get farther in.
Since it grapples almost instantaneously, it increases the window of time you have to grapple a platform while falling fast, which is how I've gotten the most use out of it. You can drop through tall rooms with abandon and more safely snag a platform to break your fall.

Phantom Abyss is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers. Intrepid adventurers will dodge scores of hidden traps, leap treacherous chasms, and flee relentless guardians through branching paths until one of the relics are claimed or the devices of death overwhelm them. The cleverest players will use the phantom runs of failed attempts from other players to their advantage and avoid the missteps and mistakes that led to their doom. Asynchronous Multiplayer Explore the perilous halls and colossal rooms of each temple alongside the phantoms of fallen players that came before you.
Completing each run in the game’s Adventure mode unlocks a new kind of whip for you to use. Each new whip grants a single buff when equipped — one grants an extremely useful double jump, and another lets you drop coins you’ve collected in water to restore your health. There are loads of them, and once unlocked, can be used to augment any future runs you undertake. You can also spend coins collected in-level on temporary upgrades that will disappear after the run.
Movement is the name of the game, and Whip Again can drastically extend your air time and vertical distance. With quick enough reflexes, should your first grapple fail to help you reach a safe platform, Whip Again can give you a second chance to avoid falling into the abyss.

The more successful runs you put in, the more of the Adventure Mode’s four core currencies you unlock — one Phantom Abyss Game from each major zone — which can be spent on permanent upgrades, like Em excesso health or a stronger whip crack. The more of these you unlock, the more powerful your adventurer becomes and the better equipped you are to handle anything a given temple throws at you.
